Akkodis is seeking a Android Developer for a Contract job with a client in Austin TX , Dallas TX , and Denver. Hybrid, 3 days on-site. Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the financial services industry .

Android Developer

Location: Austin TX , Dallas TX , and Denver. Hybrid, 3 days on-site

Rate Range: $55hour to $58.96/hr on w2 or C2C; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Skills : Android Development, Kotlin, Able to write Unit Tests - ideally has experience with Espresso/Cucumber but flexible on tools. - Interview: 2 rounds of technical interviews (w/ team lead and tech lead. will need to have laptop ready for coding)

• 3+ years of experience developing large scale Android applications

• 2 year’s experience using Kotlin to develop enterprise grade application

• Be of a Mobile team that is passionate about building apps that are secure and customer delightful to use

• Build, enhance and troubleshoot native Android apps in an Agile, collaborative environment

• Implement complex new features and functionality

What You Have

• A Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems and/or equivalent work experience

• Experience with dependency injections (DI) and use of DI tools such as Hilt

• Experience writing Unit Test using various tools

• Experience writing UI test using tools such as Expresso/Cucumber

• Experience integrating with REST API is a required

• Experience with reactive programming is desired

• Experience with RX Java

• Experience with MVI architecture paradigm is a plus

• Experience with building native features as a module is a plus

• Experience working with CI/CD and debugging issues that arises

• Experience working with native accessibility features such as TalkBack and Dynamic Type

• Hands-on experience supporting multiple versions of Android SDKs, screen resolutions and device types

• Object Oriented (OO) design and development skills

• Experience with asynchronous communications

• A proven track record of high productivity in design, coding, and debugging
