Job Description
:
As an Associate Personal Lines Underwriter, you will be responsible for maintaining a profitable book of business by evaluating the acceptability of risks within your designated authority levels. Success in this role is achieved through the development and maintenance of professional and collaborative relationships with our agency force, marketing teammates, and other partners within GIA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate potential risks and make informed underwriting decisions to ensure profitability.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with agency partners, marketing teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Uphold GIA's corporate and underwriting philosophies to maintain high standards.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support business growth while adhering to compliance regulations.
- Manage a book of business with aligned agents
Qualifications:
- Three years of related experience and/or training.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to demonstrate sound decision making and able to prioritize work.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Comprehensive Benefits:
- Pay Range: $20.30 - $32.08
- Flexible hybrid work schedule (2 days per week in Seattle office required)
