We have expanded to seven retail locations, two production bakeries, and a thriving wholesale business. We serve coffee shops, restaurants, hotels, and grocery stores with fresh products every day, 365 days a year .

We are growing and constantly looking for passionate people to join our team. We are seeking a talented and dynamic experienced Full-Time Lead Barista for its Bethesda bakery cafe (Fresh Baguette, 4919 Bethesda Ave, Bethesda, MD 20814). As a Lead Barista , you are the face of Fresh Baguette, connecting with customers, crafting delicious coffee drinks, and building delectable sandwiches.

Shifts:

• Our shifts typically start as early as 6AM and end as late as 7PM, 7 days per week.
• Morning shifts: 6AM-1PM
• Mid shifts: 9AM-4PM
• Afternoon shifts: 1PM-7PM
• 6-8 hour shift
• 5 Days a week including Saturday and Sunday

As a Barista you will be:

• Living by Fresh Baguette's core values: Integrity, Respect, Reliable, Team player, Committed, and Customer Oriented
• Providing friendly and prompt customer service
• An expert of Fresh Baguette menu offerings
• Follow recipes according to standard
• Cash and credit handling at the cash register in a fun and efficient manner
• Serving baked goods, breads, and pastries
• Making and serving coffee, sandwiches, salads with care
• Maintaining store safety, sanitation and proper food storage
• Addressing and answering customer complaints
• Paying close attention to the way products are displayed throughout the day and to the cleanliness of the store
• Cleaning and prepping the store for the next day
• Closing register
  

Requirements

• Must have authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Must have open availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, mornings, and afternoons
• Availability to work on Holidays - Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.
• Physical exertion requirement to perform heavy work (such as frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds)
• Strong communication skills
• Reliable transportation to work
• Ability to stand for 8 hours
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a barista or in food service is required
• Experience in a shift lead or higher is preferred
