Patrick BMW is currently seeking a full-time Automotive Technician for our Schaumburg location. Patrick offers the following benefits:

Responsibilities:

• Receiving and carrying out repair orders as dispatched.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain automotive systems.
• Performing work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Perform proper vehicle inspections.
• Full automotive troubleshooting and testing

Requirements for eligibility:

• Clean driving record
• Must be willing to submit to a drug screen and background check.
• 19 years of age or older.
• Great mechanical, electrical skills and computing skills.
• Experience in an independent shop a plus.
• Previous European automotive technician experience preferred.
• ASE certifications preferred but not required.
• BMW Certification Levels 1, 2, 3 or 4 a plus but not required.
• BMW/MINI factory training and experience a plus but not required
