About the Role:
We are excited to invite you to apply for the Remote Certified Medical Coder and Biller position! In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient claims while adhering to industry standards. Key Responsibilities:

Review patient claims to ensure accuracy and completeness, actively seeking any missing payer information.
Assign codes correctly and sequence them in accordance with government and insurance regulations.
Comply with all medical coding guidelines and policies.
Verify and review patient charts and documentation for accuracy.
Collaborate with team members to clarify any unclear information.
Gather data from physicians and other sources to prepare comprehensive monthly reports.
Develop and implement strategic procedures to ensure the accuracy of results.
Analyze reported medical malpractice incidents to identify the medical procedures, diagnoses, or events leading to negligence.
Qualifications:

An Associate degree in business, finance, health administration, or a related field is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a primary care clinic setting is preferred.
Certified medical coder with credentials from AAPC or AHIMA (e.g., CPC, CRC, CCS, or CCS-P).
Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and HCPCS coding.
Proficient in CPT, Category II, and/or E/M coding.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems (e.g., eCW, EPIC, etc.).
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A collaborative team player with strong emotional intelligence.
Ability to make independent decisions aligned with business objectives.
