About the Role

Join a premier healthcare provider at a 523-bed, full-service acute care hospital in Gainesville, FL , and make a meaningful impact as a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) . In this role, you’ll assist the multidisciplinary healthcare team during surgical procedures, ensuring safe and compassionate patient care. This is a full-time position with rotating shifts (days and evenings), offering competitive pay, generous bonuses, and relocation assistance.

Key Responsibilities

✔️ Perform scrub duties for various surgical procedures, including orthopedic, neuro, vascular, and robotic surgeries.
✔️ Demonstrate knowledge of sterile technique, instruments, and supplies required for surgical cases.
✔️ Communicate effectively and collaborate with the RN and Surgeon to ensure seamless patient care.
✔️ Participate in patient care activities under the direction of the RN and Surgeon.
✔️ Respond promptly to on-call duties within a 30-minute response time.

Qualifications

🔹 Active CST Certification Required (must be in hand).
🔹 Vocational School Graduate or Equivalent Required.
🔹 Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
🔹 2+ Years of Recent CST Experience Strongly Preferred (acute care experience ideal; ortho, neuro, vascular, and robotics experience a plus).
🔹 Will consider candidates with less than 1 year of acute care experience if they have strong scrubbing skills.

Shift Details & Differentials

🔹 Available Shifts:

• Days: 6:30a–7:00p (12-hour shifts) or 6:30a–5:00p (10-hour shifts).
• Evenings: 10:30a–11:00p (12-hour shifts) or 10:30a–9:00p (10-hour shifts).

🔹 Shift Differentials:

• Nights: $3.25/hour.
• Weekends: $2.00/hour.
• Evenings (8/10-hour shifts): $2.00/hour.

🔹 On-Call Pay:

• On-call: $4.00/hour.
• Callback pay: Time and a half.
