Position: Senior Innovation Specialist – Next-Generation Network Management (m/f/d)

Location: USA (remote or hybrid options available)

We are supporting a leading industrial technology company in the search for a Senior Innovation Specialist to help shape the future of next-generation network management solutions. This role offers a unique mix of innovation, strategic collaboration, and thought leadership in a globally active organization. You are part of the global CTO Office Team and your manager is located in Germany.

Key Responsibilities:

• Innovate & Build : Design and develop advanced network management concepts focused on orchestration, automation, and abstraction tailored to Operational Technology (OT) environments.
• AI/ML Integration : Conduct feasibility assessments and develop proof-of-concept prototypes to explore how AI and machine learning can enhance network management tools.
• Cloud Enablement : Support the ongoing development of cutting-edge cloud-based solutions, with optional on-premise deployments.
• Customer Co-Innovation : Collaborate directly with key customers and industry partners to co-create new technologies and solutions.
• Global Collaboration : Work cross-functionally across R&D, product, and engineering teams worldwide.
• Technology Foresight : Monitor global technology standards (e.g., IETF) and trends to ensure solutions remain ahead of the curve.
• Thought Leadership : Represent the organization at conferences and through publications, blogs, or videos to strengthen its position as an innovation leader.

Your Profile:

• Education : Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience : 5+ years in system architecture, product development, or applied research, with a proven focus on network management; experience in intent-based networking is a plus.
• Technical Expertise : Solid knowledge of network communication technologies; understanding of operational/mission-critical networks is a strong advantage.
• Collaboration : Track record of initiating and driving partnerships with external tech or industry stakeholders.
• Innovation-Driven : Passion for emerging technologies and developing creative technical solutions.
• Communication : Ability to translate complex topics for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Languages : Fluent in English; additional languages welcome.
• Travel : Willingness to travel occasionally (<25%).
