Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ Years of experience

• 3+ years of progressive responsibility in providing technical leadership

• In depth knowledge of configuration management process involving industry and air force standards

• Strong understanding of systems engineering processes

• Working knowledge of engineering drawings and equipment specifications

• Experience performing contractor engineering control / release processes

• Able to apply complex management and administrative principles

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills

• Active Secret Clearance

• BS degree

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Previous experience working with military organizations

• Technical systems development experience

• General understanding of scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera)

• General understanding of requirements management tools

• Knowledge of acquisition documents (middle tier acquisition, major capability acquisition, SOW, performance work statements)

• General knowledge of MBSE processes

• Experience managing a program baseline

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Configuration Manager for one of their top Aerospace & Defense clients. This individual will be responsible for the following:

• Apply configuration/data management principles to develop, streamline and document the Configuration Processes.

• Application of Configuration Principles to Middle Tier Acquisition, Major Capability Acquisition and Software Acquisition.

• Enforces Systems Engineering processes to ensure Configuration Management is compliant with the Systems Engineering Plan.

• Control and manage the engineering baseline for the project.

• Conduct audits to ensure program development is complainant with Configuration Standards.

• Model and demonstrate strong leadership in ethics, safety and security.

• Attend internal and external meetings as required to cover both business items and customer requirements.

• Review and approve all correspondence delivered to customer as deliverable item.

• Follow all required processes especially the peer review process to ensure quality of products being delivered.

• Accountable to the Program Manager for tasks/assignments

• Shall serve as a focal point for individual tasks/projects.

• Directly support government leadership and maintain strong customer relationships.

• Maintain other duties as assigned.

Compensation:

$35/hr to $60/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
