About the Project:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee a steam plant replacement project at a college in Portland, OR. This performance contracting project involves the removal and replacement of two aging boilers, along with electrical, piping, and masonry work. The project is set to begin in April and will run for at least six months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of construction related to boiler replacement, electrical upgrades, piping installation, and masonry work.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.
• Ensure compliance with college regulations, safety protocols, and local building codes.
• Manage budgeting, scheduling, and quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor contractor performance, resolving issues to keep the project on track.
• Conduct regular site inspections and report progress to project stakeholders.
• Facilitate permitting, inspections, and documentation to maintain compliance.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of construction management experience, preferably in boiler replacement, utilities, or institutional projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and piping systems.
• Experience working on performance contracting or energy efficiency projects is a plus.
• Proven ability to manage contractors, schedules, and budgets effectively.
• Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and local building codes
