Job Description

R-2 Contractors, Inc  is looking for a Union Liaison to join their team! The Union Liaison serves as a vital link between the company and various labor unions. This role is responsible for managing union-related matters, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements, and fostering positive relationships between the company and union representatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of labor laws, exceptional communication skills, and a background in construction or a related field.

What you get to own:

• Act as the primary point of contact between the company and labor unions. Address and resolve union-related issues, grievances, and disputes in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist in negotiating and implementing collective bargaining agreements. Ensure that agreements are effectively communicated and adhered to by both parties.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements. Keep updated on changes in legislation and industry standards.
• Mediate conflicts and work to resolve issues between management and union members. Facilitate discussions to achieve mutually agreeable solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of union-related activities, including agreements, grievances, and meetings. Prepare reports and documentation as required.
• Represent the company in union meetings, hearings, and other related events. Advocate for company interests while maintaining a respectful and collaborative approach.
• This position is a traveling position spending time meeting with employees on projects and with union officials

What you look like:

• Minimum of [2] years of experience in a union liaison role or similar position, preferably within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of labor laws, collective bargaining processes, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse groups, including union representatives, management, and employees.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
