Summary

The Customer Service / Planner role is responsible for coordinating material flow to ensure on time deliver to the customer. This role is also the primary contact for RIFAST customers for their purchase orders and releases.

Position Responsibilities

• Primary contact for RIFAST customers regarding their purchase orders and releases
• Contract review on new orders
• Enter and maintain customer orders in ERP system in a timely manner
• Identify less than lead time orders/releases
• Monitor EDI for significant changes so we can quickly inform customer of our delivery plan
• Administer customer master data in ERP system (customer info, customer part numbers, shipping instructions, label formats, etc)
• Take necessary actions resulting from weekly customer demand review (contact customer, contact vendors as needed, owns the completion of expedites, create BOL’s)
• Backup for the creation of work orders to convert raw material into finished goods, communicate them to the warehouse
• Coordinate all other customer requests as needed or perform customer specific activities (create BOL’s)
• Access customer portals for releases or to make pick up arrangements, cancel pickups as needed
• Assist NPL thru task ray complete assigned tasks
• Monitor hot jobs and communicate with Warehouse and Quality to meet customer schedules
• Follow up with shipping on Late BOL’s
• Review the CMS demand report weekly to monitor shipments are being made or if parts are not available
• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities

· Willing and able to identify risks and act or escalate

· Excellent communicator, able to read and write in English, read, write, speak in Spanish a plus

· Able to sit or stand in front of a computer for extended periods of time

· Able to be work a minimum of 8 hours per day

Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum of 2-years’ experience in a customer facing role or supply chain planning

· Demonstrated success overcoming obstacles to deliver superior customer service

· Experience using ERP software or other order management program

· Has prior ownership and been successful managing critical business processes / functions
