Job Description

Junior Manufacturing Engineer / Assembly Line Lead (Contract-to-Hire)

📍 Onsite – 1st Shift | 📅 Mon–Thurs: 7:30am–4:00pm, Fri: 5:30am–2:00pm

💰 $26–$27/hr | Contract-to-Hire | Manufacturer of EV Chargers, Cabling Assemblies & Data Center Products

Are you hands-on, sharp on the floor, and comfortable being the go-to person when things go sideways in assembly? We’re looking for a floor-focused technical leader to support operations at a manufacturing facility that builds cutting-edge products for global names like ABB and Anord Mardix.

This is not a design role. It’s a manufacturing support role —think Junior Manufacturing Engineer , Industrial Engineer , or Lead Assembler —you’ll be the first point of contact for any issues on the assembly line.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Serve as the first responder for any assembly line issues
  • Work alongside ~30 assemblers to troubleshoot and resolve real-time production challenges
  • Coordinate with materials, quality, and test engineering teams to identify and fix root causes
  • Train assemblers as needed and report any recurring performance issues to supervisors
  • Ensure smooth assembly operations and act as a bridge between production and engineering

✅ What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience with an Associate’s degree, or 5+ years without one
  • Hands-on knowledge of the full assembly process in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills—you’ll need to work across teams
  • Experience supporting or leading a production line or assembly team
  • Comfortable working on the floor, aligned with engineering and production management

🚫 What This Role Is Not:

  • Not a design or R&D position
  • Not remote or desk-heavy—this is an onsite, floor-based role

Why You’ll Like It Here:

  • Stable contract-to-hire position
  • 5:30a-2p Friday (long weekend)
  • Be part of manufacturing for high-impact technologies like EV charging and data centers
  • Direct influence on solving real-time production issues and improving operations
