Job Description

We’re seeking a highly versatile and experienced E-Commerce Developer to support the development, customization, and optimization of websites and funnels for consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands. The ideal candidate should have expertise in multiple coding languages and platforms, with a strong emphasis on Shopify, Checkout Champ, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Magento, and ClickFunnels. They should also be proficient in page builders and capable of delivering high-performing, conversion-optimized solutions that align with e-commerce best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Platform Development:
• Build, customize, and optimize e-commerce stores on platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento, and Checkout Champ.
• Develop custom themes, templates, and functionalities that meet brand and business needs.
• Manage and enhance funnel systems using ClickFunnels or similar tools.
• Coding & Customization:
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code in languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid (Shopify), PHP (WordPress/WooCommerce), and Ruby on Rails (Shopify Plus).
• Develop and troubleshoot custom plugins, scripts, and integrations for advanced functionality.
• Page Builder Proficiency:
• Utilize page builder tools like Shogun, Elementor, Zipify, and similar platforms to create and edit high-converting landing pages.
• Optimize page speed, UX, and overall performance while ensuring mobile responsiveness.
• Checkout & Payment Flows:
• Implement, customize, and optimize checkout experiences to reduce friction and increase conversions.
• Ensure seamless integration with payment gateways, third-party apps, and APIs.
• Testing & Optimization:
• Conduct rigorous testing to ensure functionality, performance, and compatibility across browsers and devices.
• Continuously optimize code and configurations for improved speed, SEO, and conversions.
• Maintenance & Support:
• Provide ongoing support, updates, and troubleshooting for existing e-commerce sites and funnels.
• Stay up to date on platform updates, industry trends, and best practices to ensure stores remain cutting-edge.

Candidate Profile:

We’re looking for someone with the following qualifications and attributes:

• Experience:
• 3-5 years of experience in e-commerce development, with a focus on consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands.
• Extensive experience building and managing stores on Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento, Checkout Champ, and ClickFunnels.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in coding languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid, and PHP.
• Knowledge of frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js is a plus.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party app integrations.
• Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and how they impact e-commerce conversions.
• Page Builders:
• Proficient in using tools like Shogun, Zipify Pages, Elementor, or similar platforms for building and editing landing pages.
• Soft Skills:
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work closely with marketers, designers, and other stakeholders.

Preferred (Not Required):

• Familiarity with A/B testing tools like Optimizely or Google Optimize.
• Knowledge of email marketing platforms like Klaviyo and integrating custom email designs.
• Experience in developing for mobile-first and headless commerce architectures.
• Certification in Shopify, Magento, or other relevant platforms.
