Job Description

An international manufacturer in the West Memphis area is currently searching for a full-time EHS Safety Specialist to join their facility's environmental, health & safety department.

EHS Safety Specialist Responsibilities :

· Supervise safety programs for all associates, ensure all associates are following safety guidelines

· Assist with documentation for OSHA compliance

· Investigate safety incidents and report findings, also track resolutions for any known issues

· Assist with the development of EHS procedures

· Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws

· Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and industry standards

· Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.

· Provide safety training to employees on topics such as hazard recognition, emergency response, and personal protective equipment

· Investigate safety incidents and report findings, also track resolutions for any known issues

· Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to address safety concerns on construction sites

· Manage workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs

EHS Safety Specialist Qualifications :

· Bachelor’s degree in related field, Environmental Health and Safety degree is ideal.

· At least 4 years of experience, working with manufacturing company is a big must

· Experience with OSHA training is preferred

· OSHA 30 certification

· Experience working with safety management and quality (root cause analysis)

· Must have excellent communication skills

· Maintain all required records and documentation.

· Must be flexible and be able to work under a multicultural environment

This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
