Job Description

Looking for an individual to lead a team of engineers working on compressors, pumps, and heat transfer equipment. Offering exceptional customer service and support services such as system design, assembly, and aftermarket service and repair.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Management (60%)
2. Responsible for the direction and operation of the Application Engineering, Design/Drafting, and Controls Engineering staff.
3. Hire, train, and develop staff as needed for the engineering department.
4. Develop and maintain processes and procedures for efficient staff workflow.
5. Ensure cost sheets, submittals, and drawings are completed accurately and consistently.
6. Oversee the engineering quoting and submittal schedules to ensure timely completion.
7. System Design (40%)
8. Lead all design efforts of highly custom and novel packaged systems to continuously expand capabilities of department.
9. Ensure all designs meet or exceed internal standards and best engineering practices.
10. Utilize both internal and external resources to ensure all new designs meet current codes and regulations.
11. Work with customers, shop, and project managers to provide technical support and troubleshoot design-related questions.
12. Simultaneously handle a large and diverse number of projects.
13. Successfully solve issues with tact, cooperation, and persistence.
14. Perform all other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. PE preferred.
2. Experience: 5 to 7 years in a related industry. Direct management experience preferred.
3. Computer skills: MS Office suite proficient. Familiar with drawing software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
4. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
