Looking for (3) Restaurant/Dining Supervisors and (1) Catering Supervisor

Pay:  $23/hr+

Location : Saratoga Racetrack - 267 Union Ave. Saratoga Springs, NY 12866

Other : Non union, seasonal role (approx. 5/28/25-9/8/25)

Schedule : Event based, Wednesday-Sunday. Weekends required, shift times vary

While these roles are primarily seasonal (approx. May-September), there is opportunity for this role to return annually each season.

Job Summary

Provides the first level of supervision of food, beverage, and meal services while also overseeing production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures high quality, good-tasting and well-presented food and beverages are served within established time frames.
  • Reviews menu and other production needs to oversee and manage daily functions.
  • Monitors staff daily to ensure all systems, protocols and quality assurance tools are utilized correctly.
  • Visits guest service areas to assess satisfaction levels.
  • Communicates to staff regularly, both formally and informally.
  • Enforces safety standards with employees.
  • Ensures sanitation standards are enforced daily and signs-off on cleaning procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements + Qualifications

•Ability to work in all types of weather including rain, heat, cold, etc.
•Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds. This is a hands-on, floor supervisor position.

Day In The Life

•Day-to-day leadership and oversight of servers, bartenders, runners, and bussers. Leading daily pre-shift and employee coaching/development
•Confirm yours and your teams’ compliance with Levy standards, policies, and procedures
•Check in and check out staff – record if/when breaks are taken and report attendance issues to manager (Late, No Call No Show, Requests to Leave Early)
•Maintaining inventory, ensuring the location is properly stocked with necessary items, and reporting any needs to manager to gather missing items
•Develop positive rapport with guests, verify they are receiving premium service, and gauge overall satisfaction. Manage complaints as they arise and providing conflict resolution, partnering with manager as needed
•Review menu and other production needs to oversee and manage daily functions
•Recording spoilage and breakage of glasses/plates/ alcohol bottles
•Maintain in-depth knowledge of complete menu and products on hand during event, and report any issues to manager
•Assist the Premium Department with administrative work including monthly inventory – will involve daily inventory management (proper storage of all food and beverage stock, timely submission of accurate requisitions, tracking waste, and conducting inventory counts)
•Maintain cleanliness of service areas and storage in compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements
•Work with front and back of house staff to ensure proper presentation and set food quantities are met
•Turning in proper paperwork and complete recap at the end of each event

•Possess a basic of understanding of all positions within the space, and hold team members accountable to their job duties while ensuring thorough and efficient completion of tasks
•Ensure preparedness to answer team member questions about their tasks, position, expectations and basic business information
•Maintain a positive attitude toward guests, team members, managers and other supervisors
•Advocate for positive work culture and team morale
•Understand BEOs and how to set up within BEO guidelines
