Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Freight Broker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating the movement of freight by connecting shippers with carriers, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of logistics and transportation, along with the ability to negotiate rates and manage relationships effectively.

Duties

• Coordinate and manage shipments from origin to destination, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to facilitate efficient freight movement.
• Negotiate pricing with carriers while ensuring competitive rates for clients.
• Stay informed about FDA regulations and other compliance requirements affecting the transportation of goods.
• Process Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions to streamline communication between parties.
• Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise during the shipping process.

Skills

• Strong background in logistics sales and transportation sales, with a proven track record of success.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations related to freight transportation is highly desirable.
• Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to secure favorable pricing for both shippers and carriers.
• Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and make informed decisions regarding freight pricing.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and partners.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
