Hardwood Flooring Installer

Responsibilities:

Installation:

• Install hardwood flooring in residential and commercial spaces.
• Measure, cut, and lay flooring materials accurately.
• Ensure proper installation techniques for different types of hardwood flooring.
• Work with various tools, including saws, nail guns, and power tools.
• Preparation:
• Prepare surfaces for installation, including cleaning and leveling.
• Remove old flooring materials and dispose of them properly.
• Assess work sites for potential issues and make recommendations.

Finishing:

• Sand and stain hardwood floors according to specifications.
• Apply finishes, such as sealants and waxes.
• Ensure a high-quality finish and customer satisfaction.
• Other Duties:
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Communicate with clients and contractors to understand their needs.
• May also install other types of flooring, such as carpet or tile, depending on the employer.

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
• Knowledge of different wood types and installation techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
