Job Description

A Boston-based corporate furniture retailer is hiring a skilled Interior Designer to develop design concepts that align with client needs and goals. This exciting full-time opportunity comes with an attractive salary range of $80K-$100K, comprehensive benefits, and a positive, inclusive culture.

As an Interior Designer, you will support various departments with programming, design, and proposal completion throughout each client project. To give you an idea of how this role will look and feel, here is some of what you can expect to take on in your first few weeks:

  • Collaborate with designers and project managers to develop interior design concepts and plans
  • Coordinate design and layouts with architectural plans and construction documents
  • Prepare and maintain accurate design documents to communicate design intent to clients and contractors
  • Research and select appropriate materials, finishes, and products
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss design proposals
  • Assist in managing project budgets

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field and at least 1 year of experience . You will also need:

  • Proficiency in computer-aided design software (AutoCAD and/or CET) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Superior attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to perform construction site field verifications and a basic understanding of building codes and inspection regulations related to interiors
