Job Description

We’re supporting one of our global partners in their search for a Systems Administrator – Cloud & Infrastructure to join a mission-critical project based in Austin, TX . You’ll contribute to innovative, secure digital solutions used by state and local government agencies.

This is a high-impact, hybrid role for someone passionate about systems design, automation, cloud infrastructure, and modern DevOps practices.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy and maintain secure, scalable solutions.
• Manage system infrastructure on AWS and Azure , including VMs, containers, and Kubernetes.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, PowerShell, GitLab , and Python.
• Administer on-premise hardware (rack servers, SAN, HSM) and network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot integration and deployment issues; provide Level 3 support.
• Travel occasionally to customer sites for implementation and knowledge transfer.
• Write and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
• Ensure system reliability, backup, performance, and security compliance.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years experience managing high-availability systems in AWS .
• Proficient with Terraform , Docker , Kubernetes , and CI/CD pipelines .
• Strong scripting skills: Python, PowerShell , or Shell.
• Deep understanding of networking protocols ( TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, WAF, REST/SOAP).
• Experience with hybrid infrastructure (cloud & on-prem).
• Familiar with DevOps best practices , Git-based workflows, and automation tools.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• AWS certifications (SAA or SAP) are highly valued.

Nice to Have

• Azure certifications or experience with Microsoft environments.
• Familiarity with Datadog , Ansible , PowerShell DSC , and HPE storage solutions.
