Lab Specialist (60-70K)
We have an excellent opportunity available with an exciting start-up Manufacturer in the Syracuse, NY area.
Key Duties include :
Production Planning
- Prioritize coating work based on processing times and key customers.
Coating Equipment Operation
- Prepare equipment for daily use.
- Follow quality lab procedures to ensure product is coated and inspected.
- Calibrate and adjust coating equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
- Bead blast internal coating parts.
- Perform regular routine machine maintenance in accordance with instruction manual.
Analysis
- Analyze custom samples using spectrophotometer and determine recipe for custom orders.
Troubleshooting / Preventative Maintenance
- Troubleshoot issues on the coating equipment and ultrasonic cleaner from time to time.
- Work with team to replace oil and maintain vacuum pumps.
- Learn to work with manufacturers technical team to repair coating equipment.
Education & Experience :
- AAS degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related Technical Science (preferred).
- Ability to organize and task team members with daily work.
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to stand 80% of the time.
- Some lifting of heavy parts from time to time.
