Job Description

This position will be given a wide variety of accounting, forensic, and tax assignments. The successful candidate will learn the income tax preparation service from receipt of client information through the delivery of a completed return. Furthermore, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain experience as part of the team in the challenging world of litigation support. This will require industry research, accounting investigation, financial scheduling, report writing and valuation of business interests.

Essential Functions

• Perform diversified accounting, forensic, and tax assignments under the direction of a supervisor, manager, or shareholder
• Demonstrate competency in technical skills, work quality, and application of generally accepted procedures, professional standards, and firm policies
• Meet time constraints, court established deadlines, and client deadlines
• Receive and organize client information
• Prepare income tax returns
• Financial analysis of business accounting records
• Research applicable income tax issues and current industry trends
• Investigate accounting transactions and related documentation for potential fraud or concealment
• Develop defendable economic damage calculations
• Develop defendable valuations of business ownership interests

Requirements

• Minimal education requirements for sitting for the CPA exam
• 0 – 5 years of relevant experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel
• Skilled in Microsoft Word
