Overview and Responsibilities:

My client is seeking a construction Superintendent with strong leadership skills and the technical knowledge to anticipate issues in the field before they occur. The ideal candidate has 7-15 years of experience as a Superintendent.

My client is a premier mid-market industrial general contractor located in the west suburbs. They are seeking a qualified and experienced Construction Site Superintendent to oversee all aspects of the construction building process.

Minimum Requirements:

• Progressive experience as a Construction Site Superintendent, preferably in an industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of construction procedures, scheduling, subcontractor management and job site safety
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project. -Problem solving skills and strong communication abilities are essential.
• Travel in and around Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.

This position will be responsible for: Preconstruction through completion. Manage on site daily construction process. Coordinate and chair weekly sub-contractor site & safety meetings Schedule and communicate directly with site sub-contractors. Safety Meeting coordination.

Compensation:

The role offers a competitive base salary between $100,000-$140,000 (depending on experience), a bonus structure, medical insurance including dental, 401K (3% match), 21 PTO days, company-wide events, gas card, company vehicle, company phone and laptop provided.
