Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner specializing in Family Practice to join a community health center near Ravensdale, WA. This locum tenens opportunity offers a fulfilling role within a supportive team, focusing on providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population.

Position Details:

• Start Date: As soon as credentialed
• Duration: 3 months, with the possibility of extension
• Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • 40 hours per week, 8-hour workday with a 1-hour unpaid lunch
  • No on-call responsibilities

Practice Setting:

• Location: Community Health Center
• Patient Population: All age groups, from newborns to geriatrics
• Procedures:
  • Basic outpatient procedures including injections, IUD placements, and minor wound care
  • Providers must be comfortable working with vulnerable populations, including migrants and refugees
  • Onsite interpretative services available

Requirements:

• Licenses and Certifications:
  • Active Washington state license
  • DEA certification for WA
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • DOT certification preferred
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Recent face-to-face patient care within the past year
  • Familiarity with community health settings preferred
• Skills:
  • Ability to manage a high patient volume (up to 18 patients per day)
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
  • Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in fast-paced environments

Additional Information:

• Support Staff: Dedicated medical assistant, receptionists, mental health therapists, dietitians, and pediatricians onsite
• Travel Logistics:
  • Flight, rental car, or mileage, and lodging provided
• Credentialing Timeframe: 2-3 weeks
• Vaccination Requirements: COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required
