Position Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-driven Payroll Assistant (or Junior Payroll Analyst) to help manage the payroll processing for our team. This early-career role will provide valuable hands-on experience in payroll while working closely with the payroll team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
Responsibilities:
Assist in processing and reviewing payroll data for accuracy and completeness.
Maintain accurate employee payroll records and assist with updates as needed.
Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of payroll reports.
Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and ensure prompt resolution.
Support compliance efforts by helping with reporting, tax filings, and maintaining proper documentation.
Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll-related data.
Help with additional administrative tasks related to payroll and employee benefits.
Qualifications:
1+ year of experience in a payroll or HR support role (internships or part-time experience are acceptable).
Basic knowledge of payroll processing and tax regulations.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Strong proficiency in Excel or similar data management tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Experience with payroll software (e.g., Paycom, ADP) is a plus.
