Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to determine pipe layout and installation requirements.
- Cut, thread, assemble, and install pipes and piping systems using a variety of tools and equipment.
- Install supports, valves, and fittings to ensure proper system functionality and safety.
- Conduct tests on piping systems for leaks and integrity, making necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Weld, solder, or glue pipe joints depending on the material and application.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair damaged piping systems.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with other trades and contractors to meet project deadlines and objectives.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Journeyman certification is preferred
- Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter in [industrial, commercial, residential] settings.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with various pipe materials, such as PVC, copper, steel, and others.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of piping systems and components.
