Job Description

We are seeking a Contract Mechanical Designer to support Refinery Technical Services (RTS) projects by developing piping drawings and design packages. The ideal candidate will have experience in CAD, a strong willingness to learn, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse project team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop project drawings following Ponca City Refinery’s design standards and procedures
• Create and update drawings, including:
• Schematics / Isometrics
• Building layouts, equipment layouts, and pipe routing
• Pipe schedules
• Installation details
• Bill of Materials
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary design team to complete project deliverables
• Apply industry design standards and codes to ensure accuracy and compliance

Required Qualifications

• 1–5 years of CAD experience
• Strong desire to learn and grow within the role
• Ability to work collaboratively in a project team environment
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with Mechanical Craftsmen, Engineers, and Contractors

Preferred Qualifications

• AutoCAD experience
• 3D modeling experience
• Associate degree in Design, Drafting, or Engineering Technology
• Knowledge of piping design and structural layout
