Job Description:

As a Plumbing Engineer at DME, you will play a crucial role in supporting our diverse portfolio of projects in Life Sciences, Manufacturing and Higher Education markets. Working under the guidance of our industry leading Senior Staff, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the design, analysis, and implementation of plumbing and fire protection systems such as fire suppression, domestic hot/cold water, sanitary drainage and vent systems, storm drainage systems, medical gas, laboratory gas, pumping systems, specialty waste, water treatment and natural gas distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Analysis: Assist in the design and analysis of electrical systems to meet project specifications, industry standards and sustainability goals.
  2. BIM Modeling: Utilize BIM Modeling software such as Revit and Navisworks to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings.
  3. Field Support: Assist as required in site visits for new projects, existing conditions documentation, laser scanning/modeling, and construction punch lists.
  4. Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design reports, specifications, and drawings.
  5. Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients and project teams to understand requirements, provide technical insights, and ensure project goals are met.
  6. Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to contribute fresh ideas and enhance your professional development.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

3. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

4. Eagerness to learn and work hard.

5. Bonus: Proficiency in CAD and BIM software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks).
