Job Overview: Our client is seeking to hire a board-certified MD or DO who has completed an Internal Medicine residency in the United States to join our team as principal investigator (“PI”) in clinical research at an independent research location in Maitland, Florida that serves as a multi-specialty research site with studies across many therapeutic areas. Prior research experience as a PI, Sub-I, or Co-Investigator is required for this role.

This is a full-time, in-person role. There are no planned overnight or weekend hours.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead study team as a Principal Investigator, ensuring trials are conducted safely and per protocol
• Conduct clinical intake interviews to determine medical eligibility of potential study participants
• Educate potential participants about diseases and the benefits of clinical trial participation
• Manage the safety of study participants; respond appropriately to adverse events in a timely manner
• Attend investigational meetings for new clinical trials and scientific conferences
• Provide medical leadership to our team of clinicians and study coordinators
• Maintain all required licenses to practice.

Requirements:

• Prior clinical research experience is required for this role
• Board-certified in Internal Medicine
• Valid license to practice medicine in Florida (or license-eligible)
• Experience working with older adults in a clinical or research setting
• A command of professional spoken and written English
