Job Description
Healthcare Coordination
- Coordinating with healthcare providers to ensure that employees receive the necessary medical care and support.
- Ensures PVA has necessary documentation from MedCall Services and coordinates with Intrepid Adjusters.
- Works with Adjusters to document the expected treatment protocol and aligning it with employee, supervisor, attending physician, and case manager expectations contributes to the team accountability.
- Works closely with human resources / benefits for consideration of and referral into another employer program such as EAPs, disease management, wellness, etc., can have a positive impact on the process and overall level of employee engagement. Underlying comorbidities often impact both recovery and RTW.
Return to Work Program
- Collaborating with various stakeholders, including human resources, managers, and employees, to assess the individual’s condition and identify suitable modifications or accommodations.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to determine RTW status (Full time full duty, Part time full duty, Full time Modified Duty, Part time Modified Duty).
- Designs, optimizes, and implements companywide Return to Work program including updating limited duty job descriptions.
- Developing and implementing customized return-to-work plans that cater to the specific needs of each employee.
- Monitoring the employee's progress and providing ongoing support and communication to facilitate a smooth transition back to work.
- Promoting a culture of care and inclusivity within the organization which is essential for the successful reintegration of employees.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of return-to-work programs and make recommendations for improvements.
Compliance and Risk
- Tracking RTW protocols and results including direct and indirect costs, results of the RTW program and analyzing data and looking at trends and outcomes that will help PVA leverage positive findings while making adjustments to improve others.
- Tracking RTW elements including absence frequency (incidence), under all plans (STD, LTD, WC), average duration of absence, claim severity or plan costs, targeted solutions to improve employee absence, productivity, and bottom line.
- Ensuring compliance with legal standards and best practices in occupational health to support employees and mitigate potential risks associated with their return.
- Support HSSE/Employee administration as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience in human resources, healthcare administration or a related field
- Previous experience in case management or coordination roles preferred
- Minimum of two years of experience in a related role
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations
- Strong understanding of workers' compensation and disability management
- Ability to develop and implement effective return-to-work plans
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
- Advanced excel skills preferred
- Sensitivity and discretion in handling confidential information
This work is a hybrid position in Spring, Texas. M-W in office and Thursday and Friday remote.
