ALS, on behalf of one of our trusted CRO partners, is seeking a Real World Statistics Contractor to support a range of observational studies and real-world evidence (RWE) projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced statistician to contribute their expertise in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all scientific and operational statistical activities for assigned studies—ranging from observational research and real-world data (RWD) analyses to clinical trials.
• Provide expert input on study protocols, including reviewing study design and statistical methodologies, conducting analyses, and interpreting complex data with support where needed.
• Represent Real World Statistics in cross-functional Study Execution Teams, offering strategic and technical statistical guidance across multiple projects.
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR), Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and RWE teams.
• Support the development of critical statistical documentation, including Cross-functional Data Review Plans, Key Results Memos, and Data Dissemination Plans.
• Partner with statistical programming teams to ensure delivery of high-quality tables, listings, and figures (TFLs), contributing to programming specs and performing quality reviews.
• Assist in preparing study reports, publications, and other scientific outputs.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience designing and analyzing observational research studies; knowledge of U.S. healthcare data, insurance claims, and electronic medical records is essential.
• Strong statistical programming skills, with proficiency in both SAS and R (minimum 3 years' experience).
• Ability to navigate and thrive in a dynamic, matrixed, and fast-moving environment.
• Exceptional critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills—both written and verbal.
• Strong team player with a collaborative mindset and the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Minimum of a Master’s or PhD in Biostatistics or a related discipline.
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in the life sciences industry or within academia, government, or consulting, including at least 2 years focused on observational studies.
