SCADA Integration Engineer
A leading innovator in smart infrastructure solutions is seeking a SCADA Integration Engineer to develop and implement high-availability SCADA systems for critical infrastructure projects. Focus:
- Design, develop, and deploy SCADA systems for critical environments using the Ignition platform (Vision and Perspective)
- Build UDTs, dynamic screens, alarming strategies, and real-time dashboards to support control and visibility at scale
- Write Python and SQL-based logic, manage transaction groups, and implement redundant gateways and store-forward configurations
- Integrate and validate communications with BACnet/IP, Modbus TCP, OPC UA, MQTT, and other protocols
- Troubleshoot historian, network, and data mapping issues during site commissioning (FAT, SAT, and Level 4/5 IST)
- Contribute to the improvement of platform standards, project templates, and cybersecurity protocols (ISA/IEC 62443)
- Coordinate with internal automation teams and external field technicians to maintain seamless tag structure and performance
- Generate punch lists, reporting dashboards, and contribute to project delivery goals on schedule and within scope
Skill Set:
- 5–8 years of experience delivering full lifecycle SCADA projects from configuration through commissioning
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Ignition 8.1 Gold certification or equivalent experience strongly preferred
- Strong expertise with Inductive Automation’s Ignition platform, including Vision and Perspective modules
- Background in mission-critical or industrial automation environments (e.g., data centers, pharma, advanced manufacturing)
- Familiarity with systems integration using common industrial protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus TCP, MQTT, and BACnet/IP
- Strong scripting abilities with Python, experience with Git, and exposure to ticketing tools (e.g., Jira, DevOps)
- Knowledge of VLANs, LANs, RSTP, VPNs, and IoT/smart building connectivity
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, with comfort working in remote and fast-paced project environments
