Our client is a renowned & well-established architectural firm based in Hollywood, Florida, who specialize in architectural design, space planning, and interiors for a varied project portfolio. Their team of skilled architects and designers is dedicated to transforming client visions into reality, creating innovative and functional spaces throughout South Florida. They were established over 40 years ago and have secured their reputation of high-quality design services. They are currently in the midst of a period of positive growth and are looking to hire a Senior Architectural Manager to lead their studio of ~15 Designers.

Your New Role

The Senior Architecture Manager will play a critical role in leading the architecture team, overseeing the design of a variety of building types, including commercial, residential, hospitality, cultural, and government projects. This position demands an individual with at least 18+ years of experience in the architecture field, with a strong focus on design excellence, leadership, and client management. The ideal candidate will have significant experience navigating governmental procedures to finalize permits and approvals for projects. Business development skills are essential for acquiring new clients and sustaining relationships with existing clients. Proficiency in both English and Spanish is a must for effective communication.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design Leadership: Lead and manage the architectural design process for a variety of project typologies include retail, commercial, residential and cultural builds. Collaborate closely with the project team to ensure design intent is maintained through all phases of the project.
  • Project Management & Delivery: Manage and oversee all stages of architectural project delivery, from initial concept to final approval and construction. Navigate governmental procedures, securing necessary permits, approvals, and compliance for all projects, especially for governmental and institutional buildings.
  • Client Acquisition and Business Development: Actively engage in business development to acquire new clients and ensure the firm’s portfolio continues to grow. Maintain and build strong, lasting relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging professional development and providing guidance to junior team members. Establish departmental goals and KPIs, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Technical & Regulatory Procedure Oversight: Ensure all architectural projects comply with relevant local, state, and federal regulations. Lead the preparation and submission of all necessary documents for permits, zoning, and other governmental approvals.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (Master’s preferred).
  • AIA Licensed Architect.
  • Minimum of 18+ years of experience in architecture, with varied experience in commercial, residential, hospitality, cultural, and governmental buildings.
  • Proven expertise in leading architectural design teams and delivering high-quality design solutions.
  • Strong understanding of local, state, and federal building regulations, specifically in the tri-county area.
  • Proven ability in business development and client management, with a track record of acquiring and sustaining client relationships.
  • Proficiency in Revit & AutoCAD.
  • Fluent in English & Spanish is a strong asset.
