Position: Senior Software Developer

Location: NYC (4 days in office/1 remote)

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join a dynamic, agile development team focused on building and maintaining internal back-office web applications. This role requires a well-rounded developer with deep experience in the Microsoft technology stack , a strong architectural mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical peers and business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and document scalable web applications for internal use
• Architect and implement systems within an Azure cloud environment
• Ensure applications are responsive and performant across desktop and mobile platforms
• Review and optimize codebase for performance, maintainability, and adherence to best practices
• Perform functional testing and debugging to ensure application reliability
• Support and refactor legacy back-office applications as needed
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and propose both technical and practical solutions
• Investigate performance issues and lead tuning initiatives
• Partner with offshore development teams to ensure seamless delivery
• Stay current with emerging technologies, particularly in the Microsoft and cloud ecosystems

Required Experience & Skills

• 5+ years as a web developer, with .NET Core (C#) expertise
• Strong experience with Azure Cloud Services
• Proficiency in React , CSS , and modern frontend frameworks
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools like Azure DevOps
• Solid understanding of microservices, containers, and serverless architecture
• Background in application architecture and design patterns
• Skilled in unit testing , code reviews , and CI/CD deployment workflows
• Agile development experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Deep understanding of responsive UI/UX principles and frameworks
• Strong grasp of tiered distributed systems and RESTful API development
• Experience with automation testing tools , GIT , and performance profiling
• Exposure to working with offshore development teams
• Security best practices for web applications
