Summary: Responsible for development of logo's, artwork, concepts for the Scotty Cameron brand. Including but not limited to putters, soft goods, and packaging.

Job Title: Senior Graphic & Production Artist

Salary Range: $81,000 - $101,000 / Annual; plus bonus eligible

Responsibilities:

  • Provide design support including but not limited to development of logos, apparel graphics, accessories, package design, corporate collateral and various web needs including digital product photography. Must be able to work with Director of Art and the Senior Vice President - on artwork, graphics, and photography for product line.
  • Work with vendors from concept to production. Source creative and innovative ideas to keep the product line fresh. The ability to produce product within tight time constraints. Responsible for creating complete product tech packs.
  • Generate graphics using illustrator, photoshop, and current digital art programs. Provide accurate editing and digital attention to detail for all products. Generate working illustrator files for multiple types of production (embroidery, screen printing and engraving).
  • Creates necessary documentation and images to facilitate communication and support to for putter development, testing, suppliers, manufacturing, sales and marketing. Possess and applies broad knowledge of computer-based programs to enable efficient communication and execution of designs. Maintains broad knowledge Putter forms, shapes, sculpting, features, artwork, engraving, aesthetics, inserts, cosmetics, and product milling capabilities and techniques.
  • Lead new art associates through a detailed onboarding experience by:
  • Acting as a subject matter expert.
  • Communicates company brand standards, usage of brand marks, and acceptable job spec and job details to newly hired employees.
  • Informing new hires on their initial tasks (e.g., activation of accounts and programs to install) Ensuring new hires have technical assistance to properly set up their hardware/software and distribute manuals, passwords, and guidelines, as needed.
  • Plans, conducts, and creates conceptual product design ideas for scheduled product opportunities. Works closely with Director of Putter R&D to develop, create, finalize, and spec all In- Line Production, Seasonal Limited and Circle T art graphics for new putters. Conduct and participate in product development meetings, design critiques, vendor meetings, first article inspections and cosmetic/design approval process as necessary.
  • Work closely with brand protection to identify counterfeit Cameron products. Be able to recognize the subtle differences in the fake product and document to legal the reasons that identify the items as counterfeit.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design or related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in graphic design is required. Industry knowledge of Action Sports a plus. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel is mandatory, and In Design is a plus.
  • Must be able to sit for extended length of time. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of all Cameron designs, styles, typography/fonts, and spec guidelines.
