We are seeking a Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting & Compliance to join our team! As Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting & Compliance you will have a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the company’s corporate accounting operations while ensuring the compliance requirements of the organization are met. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented professional, with experience working cross functionally between various business units.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Accounting Operations:

  • Oversight of enterprise-wide banking functions, including managing our team of Banking Specialists.
  • Oversee the administration and controls for the Company’s banking relationships.
  • Ensure enterprise-wide cash deposits and weekly wire transfers are done effectively and timely.
  • Review and approve weekly electronic disbursements.
  • Monitor and review the incoming banking tickets from the business units, ensuring timely resolution in line with service targets.
  • Manage the issuance, credit limits and controls of corporate credit cards across the organization.
  • Oversee the process for all sales and use tax ensuring timely filings for the business units.

Compliance:

  • Responsible for internal and external financial audits, as well as insurance, IRS, and state tax audits.
  • Support the Director of Financial Reporting in documenting policies and procedures, as well as maintaining a centralized library of published policies.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Certification: CPA preferred
  • Work Experience : 3-7 years of experience in an accounting role
  • Strong accounting acumen: Proficient in US GAAP with demonstrated ability to connect accounting outcomes with the daily operating activities of the business to achieve the optimal outcome.
  • Continuous improvement mindset: Transform historical high volume, repetitive accounting processes to more efficient, technology driven solutions. Apply highest and best use thinking to effectively manage resources to the highest ROI.
  • Organizational skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple functional responsibilities as well as, employees to deliver a high value of customer service to our internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communication skills: Effective communicator with the ability to present financial information and processes clearly to individuals at all levels.
  • Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

LOCATION

This is a full-time on-site position located out of The Amenity Collective’s corporate headquarters in Owings Mills, MD. Following 2 months of employment, there is opportunity for the position to transition to a hybrid schedule with 3 days in office.

COMPENSATION

The Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting & Compliance position with The Amenity Collective offers an annual salary of $115,000-$130,000 with eligibility for an annual bonus. The range above is a good faith estimate based on the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the actual salary may vary from the estimates provided above.
