Insight Global is looking to hire a Senior Tax Analyst for one of our oil/gas client’s US Income Tax Provision and Compliance team, focusing on quarterly reporting for GAAP and FERC entities. This role involves preparing quarterly tax provisions, reconciling current and deferred taxes, and handling income tax accounting and reporting functions. Responsibilities include preparing federal and state corporate income tax returns, reviewing depreciation reports, and managing quarterly estimated tax installments. The Tax Analyst will also assist with special projects and provide tax compliance and accounting support to various stakeholders.

What you’ll do

• Prepare federal and state corporate and partnership income tax returns
• Prepare quarterly tax provisions, reconciling current and deferred taxes
• Prepare and review depreciation reports used for return filings and forecasts
• Prepare federal and state quarterly estimated tax installments
• Assist in income tax accounting and reporting functions
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify issues for planning purposes

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum 2 to 3 years' corporate experience in federal and/or state income tax
• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel
• Experience doing preparation/planning and/or provisions and/or compliance

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant or equivalent certification
• Big 4 accounting firm experience
• Oil/Gas experience
• Knowledge of OneSource tax software and PowerTax fixed asset software
• Working knowledge of SAP and BPC
• Regulatory accounting experience
