Position Overview:

The Senior Vice President of Finance will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and serve as a key member of the executive team. This role will provide strategic and operational leadership across all finance functions—including FP&A, accounting, investor relations, M&A support, and financial systems—during a period of sustained growth and increased scale. The SVP of Finance will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, Advisory Board, and cross-functional leaders to drive data-driven decision making and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and strategic alignment.
  • Own and optimize SaaS-specific financial metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC/LTV, churn, gross margin, payback period) to inform performance and capital allocation decisions.
  • Drive scenario modeling and board reporting in partnership with executive leadership.
  • Build, develop, and scale a high-performing finance and accounting team with a focus on systems, rigor, and transparency.
  • Serve as financial lead on strategic M&A efforts including target evaluation, diligence, and post-close integration.
  • Oversee implementation and scaling of financial systems (ERP, BI, reporting dashboards) to support data integrity and cross-functional visibility.
  • Ensure GAAP compliance, internal controls, and audit readiness in coordination with external advisors.
  • Partner with the CEO and Advisory Board on capital strategy, including equity and debt planning, investor reporting, and long-range planning.
  • Cultivate a culture of financial ownership and strategic alignment across business units.

Key Qualifications:

  • 10–15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including senior roles in SaaS or tech-enabled businesses.
  • Deep expertise in SaaS metrics, unit economics, financial modeling, and capital allocation.
  • Proven success leading FP&A and accounting functions in high-growth environments; experience in PE-backed or founder-led companies strongly preferred.
  • Strong command of financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, Maxio, Power BI, Adaptive Planning).
  • CPA, CFA, and/or MBA preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership, business acumen, and communication skills.

Competencies:

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to operate tactically.
  • Experience leading through ambiguity and scaling infrastructure in dynamic environments.
  • High degree of integrity, executive presence, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Comfortable advising CEOs and Boards with credibility, precision, and insight.
