Candidate must be local as it's a 3-4 month project
About the Role
We’re looking for a Certified Application Developer to lead the end-to-end configuration, development, and customization of a new ServiceNow instance. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, ensuring a secure, maintainable, and user-friendly platform.
Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and define technical scope for platform setup and customization.
- Platform Configuration
- Set up and configure the ServiceNow instance, including user/group management, ACLs, and security settings.
- Scripting & Automation
- Develop and maintain server-side and client-side scripts (Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, Client Scripts) using JavaScript and GlideScript.
- Workflow Development
- Design and implement automated workflows using Flow Designer to streamline business processes.
- System Integrations
- Build and manage integrations with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs for seamless data exchange.
- User Experience (UX) Design
- Enhance the UI using UI Policies, UI Pages, Service Portal widgets, and UI Builder to deliver intuitive user experiences.
- Data Migration & Management
- Support legacy data migration and manage data imports into the new instance.
- Testing & Quality Assurance
- Conduct unit, integration, and user acceptance testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Documentation
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation including specifications, process flows, and user guides.
- Mentorship & Collaboration
- Provide guidance to junior developers and collaborate with system administrators to support platform growth.
Minimum Qualifications
- Certifications
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
Experience
- 6+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
- Proven track record of building custom applications and configurations
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience with REST/SOAP integrations
- Expertise in ServiceNow development tools (Studio, App Engine Studio, Flow Designer)
- Understanding of ServiceNow’s data model and database architecture
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
