Job Description
Onward Search is seeking dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join a dynamic school team in Norfolk County, MA. These are full-time, in-person roles starting mid-January 2025 and continuing through the remainder of the school year.
Details You Should Know:
- Location: In-person (no virtual or hybrid option)
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
- Caseload: ABA Program
- Grade Level: High School
- Start Date: January 20, 2025
- End Date: End of the 2025 school year
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement ABA techniques to create individualized behavior plans and teaching strategies.
- Provide direct instruction on academics, social skills, and daily living using ABA.
- Collect and analyze data on student progress and behavior.
- Collaborate with staff (e.g., paraprofessionals, behavior analysts) for consistent support.
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop targeted interventions.
- Teach coping, social, and emotional regulation skills.
- Support students during transitions and foster a safe, structured classroom environment.
- Communicate regularly with families on progress and behavior plans.
Qualifications :
- Severe Disabilities licensure in Special Education (Massachusetts).
- Experience working with students in an ABA-based program or using Applied Behavior Analysis strategies is preferred.
