Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Location: Steilacoom, WA

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $55 - $60 per hour / $2200 - $2400 per week

Schedule: We have several clients looking for Special Education Teacher, specific schedule is based on the school and district you will be working with

  • Weekends and holidays off

Position Details

Specialty: Special Education Teacher

Requirements:

  • Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with a Special Education Endorsement.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities (preferred).
  • Must have experience with Middle or High School
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet students’ academic, social, and emotional needs.
  • Provide direct instruction in small group or one-on-one settings based on students' needs.
  • Conduct assessments to measure student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Create and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and federal/state special education regulations.
  • Participate in professional development and team meetings.

  • Professional Development : We offer a reimbursement of $500.00 towards professional development this can include: CEU’s, licensing fees, etc

  • Insurance Coverage: Premium medical, dental, vision, and life insurance starting on day one. And continued insurance coverage over the summer if qualified.
