Job Details:

Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Level Aircraft Technician to join the team of one of our biggest clients in the Charleston area. This candidate will be responsible for working with the pre-installation assembly of structural aviation components. They will be working in both the assembly of interior or exterior structural components of the aircraft.

The candidate will be working with hand and power tools to assemble components of the aircrafts. There are three different shifts for the role, and upon applying for the role, the candidate will need to be open to first (day), second (afternoon), or third (overnight) shifts. There are a few unique teams that the candidate will be interviewing and hired for, including structural, mechanical, and electrical. General responsibilities on a day to day include:

• Select correct parts, materials, tools, and hardware for assembly.
• Install, fit, fasten, align, adjust, and perform necessary pre-installation assembly work to accomplish the installation of structural components.
• Use production and engineering prints to determine exact locations of components.
• Report any noted job constraints, such as: errors caused by workmanship; defects in parts or materials; errors in assembly procedures, tools, or sequences.
• Perform repairs and functional checks and incorporate authorized changes.
• Remove and/or replace installed components and any related parts.
• Drill close tolerance holes in composites, tool indexing, and gap measurement.
• Read and understand blueprints, drawings, schematics, engineering dispositions, and instructions.
• Be safety conscious and employ the use of safety glasses, safety harnesses, respirators, boot socks, and other pertinent safety equipment 100% of the time.

Relevant Information

• Exact Location: North Charleston, SC
• Start Date: Immediate
• Pay: $33.75/hr (must have 7+ years of aircraft/avionics experience to receive this rate)
• Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision available from day one
• Pay Cycle: Weekly, every Friday
• Hours: Candidate must be okay applying to 1st (7am-3:30pm), 2nd (3pm-11:30pm), or 3rd (11pm-7:30pm) shifts, though most candidates will get selected for first or second.
• Training: Hires will go through a 4-week training period classroom style, Mon-Fri dayshift, before moving to the floor to shadow current employees.
• Relocation Offered: Yes, relocation is offered if the candidate lives 80 miles or further outside of North Charleston, SC.

Hiring Levels:

Though we are seeking highly qualified and experience Aircraft Technicians who have 7+ years of experience, we are also hiring the below levels. Please feel free to apply if you meet the below:

• a) 6 mo-2 yrs in mechanical assembly and/or troubleshooting experience: $23.13/hr
• b) 3 yrs - 6 yrs with a minimum of 3 years of aircraft maintenance or mechanical experience: $28.13/hr
• c) 7+ yrs of direct experience working on aircrafts/avionics doing repair, assembly, mechanics, and/or troubleshooting: $33.75/hr
