Senior International New Account Operations Associate (Broker Dealer)

Bilingual (English / Spanish)

Location: Coral Gables, FL

We are seeking an experienced operations professional to support the onboarding and servicing of international clients new accounts for a well-recognized Broker-Dealer. This role involves managing the full lifecycle of account processes—opening, maintenance, and review—while ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards. The position requires strong knowledge of international account structures, operational workflows, and industry best practices. You will also provide guidance to team members, act as a key resource for escalations, and collaborate with internal departments to deliver top-tier client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the setup and maintenance of international client accounts, including individuals, corporate entities, and institutional clients.
  • Ensure that documentation requirements are met for each account type in line with jurisdictional rules and internal policies.
  • Monitor and update client records to reflect changes in contact information, ownership, or authorized parties.
  • Partner with Compliance, Legal, Tax, and AML teams to validate data and confirm adherence to firm and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a mentor and resource to colleagues by providing informal training and sharing expertise.
  • Review and analyze reports related to new and existing accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive matters, identifying solutions for complex issues.
  • Address branch inquiries and provide timely resolutions while maintaining a strong commitment to client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of international regulatory requirements, AML/KYC frameworks, and multi-layered corporate structures.
  • Background in financial services with hands-on experience in account operations, compliance, or due diligence.
  • Familiarity with industry rules and standards, including documentation and record-keeping requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work across departments and with international clients in a collaborative manner.
  • Proven decision-making skills and the ability to escalate key findings to leadership when needed.
  • Spanish fluency (verbal and written); additional Latin American languages are highly desirable.
