The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Nurse Interventionist at the School of Nursing that will help deliver a 12-week nurse-led intervention our team created to reduce CVD risk among sexual and gender minority adults.

Ideal candidates will have a nursing background, previous experience in delivering health education, and comfort in working in diverse communities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct all research activities following study protocols and other appropriate institutional regulations, procedures, and policies, including procedures to safeguard the confidentiality of study participants.
  • Administer the intervention sessions
  • Assist with database design, security, data storage, and management
  • Participate in progress reports, data entry, and IRB protocol modifications/submissions;
  • Engage with community members to disseminate study findings;
  • Prepare manuscripts and abstracts for dissemination of research findings;
  • Complete literature reviews as needed
  • Provide support for technical and research tasks to research associates and research assistants; and
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Evening hours may be required. This is a grant-funded position and employment is contingent upon continued funding

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor?s degree in nursing
  • Must be a current Columbia DNP student.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master?s degree in Nursing with a focus on psychology or primary care
  • Experience in research or health education
  • Experience conducting research involving the LGBT community or other marginalized populations. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with electronic data capture systems
  • Organized and able to multitask in a diverse research environment
  • Flexibility in workload and work hours to meet deadlines and recruitment goals
  • Capable of working effectively in research groups
