Talent Manager / Casting Director (Vertical Short-Form Content)

Overview:

AltaTV is seeking a dynamic and highly connected Talent Manager / Casting Director to lead casting and talent strategy for our rapidly expanding slate of vertical short dramas. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for rising stars, strong relationships with top vertical talent, and a deep understanding of the tone and rhythm of mobile-native content. Experience in managing talent with an eye toward developing exclusive partnerships is a strong plus, as we expand our long-term talent strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Lead casting for multiple vertical short drama series per month

• Build and manage a pipeline of actors, influencers, and creators who thrive in short-form formats

• Negotiate talent rates and contracts in collaboration with legal/production teams

• Coordinate with writers, producers, and directors to align casting with creative vision

• Organize auditions, callbacks, and talent reads—both in-person and remotely

• Maintain casting records and release forms, ensuring compliance with union/non-union guidelines

• Identify and cultivate relationships with new and diverse talent across platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of casting, talent management, or related experience (digital or short-form experience preferred)

• Deep understanding of short-form and vertical content trends

• Strong network of emerging and diverse talent

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects at once
