About the Role

We’re hiring a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our in-house team and play a key role in delivering sophisticated tax guidance to our high-net-worth clientele. You’ll work directly with clients—including, but not limited to, private equity and venture capital partners, founders, and executives—to advise on complex tax situations, implement proactive strategies, and ensure seamless coordination with their broader financial plans. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-touch, intellectually demanding environment and enjoys working across the full spectrum of tax compliance, planning, and client service.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and filing of individual and trust tax returns for HNW clients
• Analyze and implement tax strategies involving equity compensation, private investments, and multi-state residency
• Support client strategies involving Opportunity Zones, Exchange Funds, and other tax-deferral vehicles, including managing the associated IRS forms and compliance requirements
• Advise on K-1 income, AMT, NIIT, charitable planning, and other complex tax issues
• Coordinate with PCM Encore advisors to align tax strategy with financial and investment plans
• Provide year-round support on estimated payments, audits, and strategic client questions

Qualifications

• Active CPA license
• 5+ years of experience in tax, ideally serving private clients at a Big Four firm or specialized RIA/family office
• Deep familiarity with Form 1040, Schedule K-1s, complex equity compensation, and pass-through entities
• Experience with advanced tax strategies such as Qualified Opportunity Zone investments and Exchange Funds, and comfort navigating the associated reporting (e.g., Form 8997, K-1s, basis tracking)
• Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and strong client-facing communication skills
• Comfortable operating in a remote-first, fast-paced environment
