Title Trading Assistant - Credit

Location New York, NY

Compensation $100K-$150K base + discretionary bonus; commensurate with background/experience

Centiva Capital, LP (“Centiva” or the “Firm”) is a global alternative investment management firm headquartered in New York City with additional offices in London, Paris, Singapore and throughout the USA. The Firm’s flagship fund is a diversified, absolute return oriented multi-strategy fund that generally focuses on arbitrage, systematic and relative value strategies. The fund utilizes a multi-manager, multi-strategy approach.

Centiva is looking to hire a Trading Assistant to join Centiva’s credit trading team which looks at trading opportunities across global credit markets, cash and derivatives.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the trading team with trade booking and allocations
• P&L analysis and reporting
• Coordinate with portfolio managers, middle office, operations, and accounting teams on trading activity, corporate actions, etc.
• Work with the technology team to improve systems/processes

Qualifications/Required Experience/Skills:

• 1-3 years of experience
• Working knowledge of Bloomberg
• Strong Excel skills (VBA/SQL/Python knowledge a plus)
• Experience with credit products and bond math/P&L on the sell side, buy side, or at a fund administrator
• Attention to detail and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong work ethic, proactive, and motivated to learn
