Training Specialist – Manufacturing Operations

Location: Novato, CA (Hybrid – 2-3x on-site)

8-month W2 Assignment

Pay: $38-$40/HR

Our client, a global pharmaceutical company focusing on developing gene therapeutics for patients with rare genetic diseases, is seeking a Training Specialist to join their Business Operations team supporting their manufacturing site. This role is essential in ensuring training administration for manufacturing and support groups remains compliant with GxP, regulatory, and industry standards. The Training Specialist will be responsible for the effective administration of our Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring an efficient and seamless training experience for all users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer LMS (ComplianceWire) requests including user group setup, curricula creation, and training assignments
  • Support the migration to a paperless training credit system
  • Maintain and update training databases and documentation
  • Provide custom reports and audit support for internal and external inspections
  • Enter training data for non-LMS-driven activities
  • Integrate eLearning modules into the LMS
  • Participate in SOP and TNA reviews to assess training needs
  • Deliver system training and provide user support across manufacturing and support groups
  • Guide stakeholders in designing and implementing curricula for efficiency and consistency
  • Identify and support process improvement initiatives for training programs and systems

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline preferred (Biological Sciences a plus)
  • 4+ years of professional training experience
  • 2+ years supporting highly technical or regulated industries (life sciences, energy, aviation, etc.)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills across all business levels
  • Proficiency with LMS systems (ComplianceWire preferred)
  • Familiarity with web-based database applications
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Visio, and Word
  • Understanding of biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical device industry regulations is a plus.
