Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a background in the translation and localization industry to oversee and manage translation projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will act as the main point of contact between clients and translators, ensuring seamless communication, quality control, and project delivery. This role requires expertise in translation tools, strong organizational skills, and an eye for detail to maintain formatting and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary liaison between clients and translators, bridging communication to ensure project requirements are met.
• Manage the entire project lifecycle, including proofreading, dubbing, and quality assurance.
• Identify and assign suitable translators for projects, considering availability and expertise.
• Conduct word count analysis and communicate project details to translators, including pay rates and deadlines.
• Ensure all translated documents match the original formatting and layout.
• Maintain and update a glossary and translation memory database to improve efficiency and avoid duplicate charges.
• Oversee and prepare all project invoices, ensuring accuracy before submitting them to accounts payable.
• Implement quality control processes to ensure the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.
• Utilize computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools such as Trados Studio, MemoQ, Smartcat, and Wordfast to manage and streamline projects.
• May serve as a translator when necessary to meet project needs.
• We seek a proactive individual who brings innovative ideas to enhance and expand our translation services.

• Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management within a translation company or language service provider (LSP).
• Proficiency in CAT tools, including Trados Studio, MemoQ, Smartcat, and Wordfast.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of translation and localization best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Familiarity with the translation and localization industry’s workflows and challenges.
