- Qualifications
- Class A CDL / Ability to drive a manual a plus
- Must have Hazmat and tanker Endorsement
- Ability to drive a manual a plus
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
- 2 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- Must be able to read and speak English
- Load and unload truck either individually or with assistance of dockworkers
- Drive tractor-trailer in all weather conditions
- Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of freight
- Securing of freight may be required through strapping or other methods
- Inspect the vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions as required by law and company policy
- Comply with all Federal requirements regarding the transportation of Hazardous Materials
- Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations
- Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
- Other duties as assigned daily
- The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
- Unloading of cargo maybe required , use liftgate , pallet jack
