• Qualifications
• Class A CDL / Ability to drive a manual a plus
• Must have Hazmat and tanker Endorsement
• Ability to drive a manual a plus
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 2 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Must be able to read and speak English
• Load and unload truck either individually or with assistance of dockworkers
• Drive tractor-trailer in all weather conditions
• Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of freight
• Securing of freight may be required through strapping or other methods
• Inspect the vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions as required by law and company policy
• Comply with all Federal requirements regarding the transportation of Hazardous Materials
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations
• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
• Other duties as assigned daily
• The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
• Unloading of cargo maybe required , use liftgate , pallet jack
